Time flowing in colors – every dial a work of art.

Created by artist, the colors transform in harmony with the passing hours.

The color disc clocks designed by artist Paul Heimbach change their appearance in time with the passing of time
thanks to a fascinating and unique color system he developed.

We have the exclusive license to implement these ideas for you in various product lines,
such as wristwatches, desktop clocks, necklace watches and wall clocks.

The Story of the Color-Hand Watches

This unique method of time display was developed by the artist Paul Heimbach and is protected by copyright. He was searching for a way to mix colors as we learned in Art lessons – blue and yellow create green. But this color blending needed to be reversible: using transparent films in the primary colors layered and moving against each other.

The result was a constantly evolving spectrum of vibrant color combinations. What was missing was automation. The idea was simple and consistent: the colored films were mounted onto the hands of a clock. Thus, automatic color mixing through the movement of time was born.

In 1998, the first edition “Farbzeiger I”, called “classic”, was created. It generates millions of colors and shades – without compromising the readability of time. In the years that followed, Paul Heimbach further developed this system and created expressive color and form sculptures.

How It Works

Color-hand principle detail

Each hand is mounted on a disc featuring a gradient from intense color to transparency. The watch contains three overlapping discs in cyan, magenta and yellow. As the watch runs, each disc moves at its own speed. This continuously creates new color blends on the dial.

Not for smart watcher · For art watchers only.

No electronic display. No pixels. Just analog mechanics and real color blending. Original art instead of digital simulation.
